Templates to record frequency → effect, photos, and session notes.
Overview & Purpose
Start HereConsistent logging turns intuition into insight. These lightweight templates capture signal settings, setup geometry, context, and observations so you can repeat wins and spot patterns. Keep it simple, honest, and comparable across days.
Core Fields (Minimal Yet Complete)
SchemaSession
Date, start/end time, location, ambient temp (°C), noise level (quiet/moderate/loud), notes (sleep, caffeine, mood).
Signal
Waveform (sine/isochronic/binaural), frequency Hz (or band), amplitude (Vpp/RMS or %), duty %, duration (min).
Geometry
Device/coil/plate, driver position, support scheme, distance to body/object, orientation (N/E/S/W), photo IDs.
Observations
In-session effects (1–5), post-session effects (1–5), tags (e.g., calm, focus, warmth), free-text notes, next action.

Photos & Media (Make Data Visible)
ClarityAngles & IDs
Shoot overhead for plates; label files in notes. Add a ruler/coin for scale; keep lighting consistent.
Audio Notes
Short voice memos right after sessions capture details you’ll forget. Transcribe key lines into the log.
File Naming & Versioning
TidyNaming Pattern
YYYY-MM-DD_method_targetHz_material_detail_runX — e.g., 2025-09-03_iso_10Hz_ALU250_edge_run1Versioning
If you tweak one variable, bump
run. If you change the protocol, start a new series.Scales & Tags (Keep It Comparable)
Signal vs. Noise1–5 Effect Scale
1 = none, 2 = slight, 3 = noticeable, 4 = strong, 5 = very strong. Use the same scale every time.
Tags
Use short sets: calm, focus, warmth, tingling, imagery, clarity, sleep, grounding, uplift. Avoid synonyms explosion.
Quick Analysis (Lightweight)
ReviewWeekly Glance
List top 3 frequencies by average post-score. Note which setups (driver/supports) appear most reliable.
Change One Thing
Classic rule: alter a single variable per run—frequency, amplitude, duration, or geometry—not all at once.
Privacy & Ethics
Care- Protect personal data in logs. If sharing, remove identifying info and locations.
- No medical claims; these records are for personal experimentation and art/science exploration.
- Respect others’ comfort; keep sessions low-impact and safe.
Glossary (Quick)
ReferenceVpp / RMS
Peak-to-peak vs. root-mean-square amplitude measures.
Duty Cycle
% of time a pulsed signal is on within one period.
Q (Quality Factor)
Sharpness of resonance; higher Q → narrower peak.
Driver Position
Where excitation meets plate/coil—strongly shapes modes.
FAQ
ClarityDo I really need all these fields?
Start minimal (session + signal + simple effect score). Add geometry when you want reproducibility.
How long should sessions be?
Begin with 10–15 minutes. Comfort & consistency > intensity. Add rest between runs.
Can I log multiple frequencies in one session?
Yes—use a ladder (e.g., 12 → 10 → 8 Hz). Log each step’s start time and impressions separately.
What app should I use?
Anything you’ll actually use: Notes, Notion, Google Sheets, or paper. Consistency beats fanciness.
